The Cottage Studio is a residential music recording studio set in an idyllic location beside Loch Fyne. Combining dedicated recording time, studio equipment and comfortable accommodation, it offers excellent value for artists who want to record while staying in one of Scotland’s most inspiring locations.
Designed for bands and musicians who want to immerse themselves in the creative process, the studio provides the opportunity to write, rehearse and record away from the interruptions of everyday life.
Whether you arrive with fully developed material or songs that still need room to evolve, your stay gives you the time and space to concentrate, experiment and capture your music in a relaxed and memorable setting.

Stay on site and build your days around the music, with no daily commute and no need to rush home after a productive session.
Eight hours of recording each day
Every booked day includes up to eight hours of recording and technical support, normally available between 10am and 6pm.
Equipment ready to use
Sessions are centred around a Tascam 2400 analogue recording desk, an Apple MacBook Pro and Logic Pro recording software, supported by the studio equipment listed on our Kit List page.
Personal support
General Manager Grace Dollard oversees recording sessions and works with each band before arrival to prepare the studio and agree how the session will run.

Residential Location
Simple Residential Rates
Studio stays are charged at £70 per person, per 24-hour day, subject to a minimum total charge of £210 per day.
Residential Accommodation
Stay on site and immerse yourself in the creative process, without the distraction of travelling to and from the studio each day.
Up to Eight Hours of Recording
Each booked day includes up to eight hours of dedicated recording time, normally available between 10am and 6pm.
Desk and Studio Equipment
Use the studio’s Tascam mixing console and the instruments, microphones, amplifiers and equipment included on our kit list.
Setup and Technical Support
Grace will prepare the recording system, position microphones and provide technical support throughout your agreed studio hours.
A Basic Mix of Every Song
We’ll create a basic mix of each song recorded during your stay, giving you a useful version to review and enjoy.
Individual Recorded Tracks
All individual tracks from your sessions will be supplied on a suitable flash drive provided by the band.
